Look up Broadfield and his tank. He had the Aurora and liked it. Now he's using the MH/T5 fixture
Will do... why the switch if he liked it?

I don't remember the exact reasons. On his R2R thread he talks about itWill do... why the switch if he liked it?
Any news on the Genesis?
I am interested in the 72" unit with the 5 cluster LEDs and 4 bulb T5.

Have decided on this fixture, but am waiting on the Genesis for comparison to the Aurora, especially cost.
For my 8 foot 300g, I am interested in the 72" unit with the 5 cluster LEDs and 4 bulb T5.
Best coverage compared to the 60" w/4 LED clusters.
Perhaps the Aurora will go on sale once the Genesis makes its appearance.![]()
The fixture's outside look also didnt look sharp at all compared to what we see with the Spectra, Infinity.
I thought it looked pretty darn nice in this video...?

Should be fixed now.
Why does it seem no one ever talking about the Vervve ... when BRS first got this light and did a review it really looked nice and they seemed big on it. But it seems like NO ONE ever talks about it. Does this light just suck or does everyone at this price point just go with the radions?

About 6 months ago I contacted BRS asking more questions about it...I was between that unit and the G4 radions. They were very optimistic about it, and told me the german unit was more promissing due to more blue channels.
I looked everywhere for info on them, and found the same videos, info, which isnt much. I also contacted CoralVue, but they didnt seem too interested in selling me on them. I kind of gave up, never really learning more at the end.
Giesemann and other German companies upset me at times, basically to me it feels they are doing us a favor to take our money and make a sale...
Why is it that most of the giesemann fixtures we see and like only come to the US market in the uglier black color? The shinny polar white one is only available in Europe, and looks 100% nicer...Maybe americans dont have taste for classy, sharp colors and deserve the basic black..?
Coralvue does a HORRIBLE job advertising the product. Lets face it, I love BRS and appreciate their role in the hobby, but they spend 90% of the time talking radions, kessils, ATI sunpowers. Other great fixtures like the Vervve had a highlight here or there, but never again are mentioned.
Trust me when I say LOTS of Radions,, Hydras, Etc..arent really first users' choices, they are basically buying what is in front of them/available/advertised.
If Giesemann was indeed a bit more interested, could really make an impact in sales in the US with Auroras, Vervves, etc. Same goes to ATI, BRS goes beyond helping customers, but ATI doesnt seem to really care about the bad reputation their dimmeable ballasts, hot powermodules have.
I think it's a regional thing...
We here in the US tend to like the color black more - where in Europe they tend to like the white color more than in the US.
But yeah, I agree with your point - the marketing in this hobby really needs to up its game - in the US especially since it is often forgotten by the European (and other) manufacturers.
