Gifts From My Anemone For Bad Clowns...

So I have read all over the internet about anemones pooping stringy stuff from their mouths. Mine (LTA) seams to poop little chunks. Looks like coal. I will see his mouth slightly open for part of the day. One spits out and he looks normal for a few days. Then again... Is this Nirmal


all my nutrients are at zero.

PH 8.0-8.3

Nem has only been in the tank for a little over a week. Looks otherwise healthy...

You probably have to much light on the anemone.
It's not "pooping". It's releasing zooxanthellae.
Can you post a pic of the anemone?
What lighting did it have before you got it, and what does it have now?

Well it is in the darkest corner of the tank next to the overflow with no light directly over it... The fixtures first row of LED's is probably 8 iches in front of it. My lights are also turned so far down that my coral stopped growing . I am slowly turning them back up but right now 36 led's at 50% blues and 40% white. I am just now finally getting some growth back.

Of course it can still be lighting. I am on the waiting lists for the clubs PAR meter...

It was in an LFS with low end two bulb florecent ficture...One 10k bulb and one antinic...

It actually released the first chunk within an hour of being in the tank...
