I had found slight tears on the foot of 3 of them. Small, really small possibly due to collection? It doesn't look too bad I will try to see if I can get a good pic going.

I certainly have no problem with people import them to sell them. Best of luck. Someone in England imported a bunch treated them and sell them for a good price a year or two ago. If you can do that it would be great

Just a quick reminder about the commercial aspects of our [ua]. The long and short of it, you can't talk about selling them here ;)

There isn't any. Here at RC is where we pioneer anemone treatment with antibiotic. If you spend the time to read all the treatment threads, you will pick up bits of information here and there.

Thanks for providing the photos and video. I'm a but confused though. In all of the photos and video, the gigs appear to be acclimating together. When were they acclimated individually, and how long was this period?

The potential problem I see is that now that they're all together, the likelihood for one sick gig to transfer the infection to the others is high. The waste that you took of photo of doesn't look like the typical waste of an extremely sick gig (which looks more like pellets) but nevertheless it still has me concerned. Some of the smaller gigs I was acclimating expelled similar waste, all all three ended up dying.

As Orion mentioned, there was a dealer in the UK that was individually QTing gigs in separate containers. I was hoping to dig up a photo, but I can't find it. You'd have to QT the nems like this for a month or so in order to guarantee that they are healthy. IME, it can take up to a month for a sick gig to actually show signs of sickness. Many times, newly imported gigs actually look great, are eating, and show no signs of sickness. A couple of weeks later and the gig is barely alive.

i have treated my gigs with Cipro, even at double dose (500mg/10gal) and no bleaching whatsoever.

I experienced the same. Raythepilot says if they don't bleach, the concentration of cipro isn't strong enough to work. I noticed fast improvement in the couple that were obviously on their way down, but they didn't bleach. Then again, they were already pretty light colored compared to what they should be, so I'm not sure what happened, or didn't happen. I did not notice any color loss, but there COULD have been, and I just didn't notice. I used the "fishflox" type of cipro online, not human grade with prescription. Maybe the water change regimen was what they needed more than the medication itself? I don't know. I treated in one 10 gallon tank at a time: 2 blue together, 1 green alone, blue and purple together, 2 purple together, 1 green alone. I've treated 9 gigs since the cipro TT regimen started, 8 of 9 are here today. 6 are currently in the same tank today. I lost one, that was started in treatment at a friend's house, he went on vacation with out telling me he had a gig in treatment, and I found it a few days later after no one looking at it for days. It was already past point of return by the time I found it, so I don't really count that one as a failure since it was left alone in the middle of treatment with no care. (more to the story, too much to type).

I agree with this. ^^

Hello everyone,

Gigantea were treated 3 days then left for a few days to recover and then shipped but there was no other specifics other than that. They were isolated in seperate tanks during that time. I had assumed that putting them together after shipment would not be an issue? I could be wrong though.

After all, no one really knows what is the best approach is currently or everyone would be doing it.

If i am able, I can try to convince my team to set up a dedicated system just for gigantea. We at colorful reef, are not there yet,

@d-nak @orionN what would be, in your opinion, be the best way to go about doing that? What would we need? How would the perfect protocal be in your eyes?

I had read that the person in Europe was able to do it with UV sterilizer and also antibiotic treatment? Do you happen to know params of water?
