I was at the lfs today and I noticed she had some acros that wherent doing so hot... All are dieing from. The base up... I thought it may be fun to try and save them so I brought them home dipped them in rivive and off we go... Any helpful ideas on saving acros

keep an eye on them, may help to frag them up, cutting off the skeleton and leaving only living tissue..
good luck

Surprisingly they have good pe right now... Ill frag out what I can in the morning ... I think it would be kind of fun ... Plus I just made a lot of changes to the system so it would be a good way to see what is working and what isn't

If you still have the water they were in check it for low alk. Good chance that was the issue. If there is PE and the tissue recession isn't any worse I wouldn't frag them. They may have just needed sufficient water conditions, nothing more. Only frag them if the recession gets worse.

I ended up fragging them today because there was so much gone already and so much of it I decided to save what I could and not ugly up my tank as much

Been there done that, except with 2 large boxes of SPS colonies/frags. Frag 'em up, give them good stable conditions and they should come back. Make very sure they have no pests like AEFW though, that was why my 2 boxes were dying off. Got rid of the AEFW, fragged a ton, and lots of them survived and are growing again for me.

Same think happened to one of my pink prostratas. Couldn't figure out for the life of me what was causing it and it seemed to happen overnight. Dipped it and it had AEFW. Luckily it was the only sps in the tank at the time.
