In Memoriam
To all who contributed their precious time to the closing of my previous account, please understand I will participate in this forum should I choose, whenever I choose. Regardless of your feeble attempt to dismiss me based on personal opinion and misinterpretation, you WILL inevitably remember that I am a part of this forum as long as I choose to be and will never submitt to grouchy moderators and unlearned users.

Your truly,
Still here

I don't know what the deal is, but I've found the Tucson/SV reefers to be straight-up folks. Seem like the nicest folks on the web with reefing. I think the posters here are pretty cool. What do I know, I live in BFE?

Folks, we always win. ;)

If a member with a "problem" comes back under another identity and continues to be a "problem," their sterling personality soon gives them away, and they rejoin the ranks of the "moved on," ie, we win.

If they return and fly below the radar (ie, obey the rules we were trying to get them to follow in the first place), we win.

:D

seemed like a good worthless thread to graduate to my 50th post
I'll start working on my next 50
I love me some reefcentral

man i get back in town and all hell broke loose. i think the random "50" post rule is kinda just for the forum trolls to have something to keep themselves feeling important, but i believe my "strike 2" as you cleverly put it was when i told him to PM me, so not really what i was violating there. Forums are serious business so keep up the good monitoring.

Gone but not forgotten

Gone but not forgotten

What Anemone says is true. 100%. They always come back. I know of some in this forum. One is back for his third time. Some go off and start their own web site, but can never stay away. As Anemone says, they now fly below the radar and follow the rules. Some you can tell. They never seem to loose that edge that keeps them one thread away from "moving on" but they comply. The trick for the rest of us is knowing when to "get in' before the lock. Thats the fun in it. Keep on reefin.......................

To make one point clear....
When someone is removed from this site, and sneaks back without fixing their mistakes, they could possibly "hide" for a very long time. If I (or any other member of the staff here) come across evidence that a current member of the board is in reality someone that is here without permission, their account will just explode one day.
It's pretty disheartening to spend months, sometimes even years establishing an online persona just to find it disappear as quick as the press of a mouse button.
Very few banned people are beyond forgiveness. If you lose your posting privileges here, it is in your best interest to fix what you broke, and come back in our good graces.

I LOVE YOU LARRY !!!!! "KISSES" :eek2:

Happy 4120 Posts to me !!!! man I got to much to share with the world

I am not interested in pushing the limit, but I am wondering how the banished "fix their mistakes". Do they beg forgiveness or pm a mod saying they're sorry? Not trying to be cheeky, just trying to figure that out.

I suppose that really depends on the infraction.

Mostly, what's required is that the banned member be able to communicate their understanding of the rules here, and their willingness to comply.
I've never made anyone beg me to forgive them, if it gets to the point that they're begging, that's probably because they have made the illustrious "banned for life" list and no amount of begging will get them back.
For reference, in the almost 10 years Reef Central has existed, that list is less than 10 members long.
