Got a bleached anemone

Got this anemone along with some cured live rock, almost as an extra treat, with no additional charge. The seller told me it was a green carpet anemone that should just get some light and then it would possibly be all green again. Can you confirm this? I fed it today and it had a feeding response. A slow one, but it was there.

Ps. Dont mind the photogenic fish behind it.

Why was it bleached before? Was it under lit at the old place? or was it over lit?

My guess is that it is a carpet, haddoni to be exact. Yes, with proper lighting it will regain it's color. You need to feed it small pieces of fresh seafood regularly. I would start with a small (size of a pea) piece of fresh shrimp from the seafood dept. of your grocery store. You can also purchase PE Mysis at Petco, etc., another good source of nutrition. If that is indeed haddoni, it prefers to dig into the sand bed. Expect it to move off the rocks at some point. That species of carpet tends to be fairly easy to keep.
