Growth rate of peacock

I managed to pic up a very small peacock. Couple inches!

I was wanting to put it in a 14 gallon biocube on my desk but was wondering how long that would last?

I have only ever purchased large ones so I am not sure on the growth rate and whether it is even worth the temporary home.

It will probably molt about once a month at first. Growth is about 5-10% in length per molt. As it gets larger, molting rate will slow The animal will probably about double in length in a year.

It should be fine the the 14 gal. I kept mine in a 10 gal for at least a year before upgrading to a 15. Just make sure to do water changes.

a 15 is no where NEAR large enough for a peacock even at 2" they need space like every other animal you put in an aquarium, with it being that small it would make sure it is indeed a peacock

I have had a ton of mantis...trust me it is a peacock. It is full color, but true measurement would not put it much over 2 inches.
