I have a magnifica that I have had established in my tank for about 9 months now and so far has been doing great. Tentacles have improved in shape and color and the anemone has been growing. I noticed a month or two ago that the mouth was remaining open and am starting to get worried and wonder why the mouth isn't closing. Does anyone with long term magnifica experience have any input or ideas as to why this could be?
It does get fed some krill whenever I feed the fish, so at first I assumed maybe it was always releasing waste, but I have never seen anything actually come out. The mouth is just slightly open instead of the "puckered" look. It's not gaping open, just a bit... Open... All the time. I wish I had a good picture, I'll have to take one next time I'm home, but here's a picture I took of it a day or two ago to demonstrate at least what it looks like.
