hey i was just wondering if you could get away with 3-4 haddoni's and a gig or two in 6ft 180? ive had a few haddoni's before they all lasted 2yrs or more till a power outage in the winter.. but i was just wondering if anyone has any expeirience with keeping them together.
I am curious as to how this works out as well. I have a haddoni and a RBTA in my tank together currently and they are good, but I am wanting to add a gig on the other side of the tank. Please let us know how it works out if you try it!
I've read quite a few accounts of what was thought to be allelopathy between gigs and other nems, even gigs with gigs. Since gigs are hard to acquire, I would never recommend adding any other anemone to a tank with a healthy gig.
wouldn't this depend on the system's filtration and length of time you're talking about?
Sure... we've all seen these two in dealers tanks together. Big deal.
Anemones wage warfare via shed nematocysts so mechanical filtration on the order of 10 microns or smaller and/or regular water changes would probably limit the number nematocysts in the water but even THEN you would have two stressed anemones, and gigs are already difficult enough to maintain long term.
