just looking for another solution. i really don't want to put that in my whole system and would rather try and find another way.

I had some last year and also didn't want to dose my entire tank with some chemical. I took a turkey baster and a homemade contraption made up of a length of tubing and a large medical syringe. I patiently sucked out what I could -every day until I didn't see any more. It took about two weeks to get the majority and then another few weeks to find a stragler or two. I was able to totally elimate them in this easy fashion without the use of chemicals. I've been poo poo'd when I've told my method but it worked and once I realized what they were I had quite a few but mostly on certain corals and mushrooms.

im scared to treat the whole tank but im just going to go ahead and do it because i dont want to take a chance that i might have to deal with them again in a few weeks or months. im going to dip EVERYTHING that goes in the tank from now on.

i tried TMPCC earlier this week and all three corals i tried it on are loosing color. id rather not take a chance on the rest. an alternative would be nice but im just going to stick with what works. save as many crabs and shrimp that i can and eradicate does nasty red bugs with interceptor!!

You can try the Dragon Face Pipefish.. I have one on order to see if I can get rid of my couple of red bugs that I have seen. Plus its a cool looking fish.

I treated my system with Intercepter after the frag swap in West Chicago this past spring and IMO, is the only way to effectively treat red bugs once they are introduced into your system.
