thanks again everone 20 years of reefing and i still love it. The fish are mostly rescues from local reefers, there were about 12 others that my kalk reator killed about 15 months ago. The BK 300 is a beast lets me keep all the big fish healthy,

I was just at stans house and that video was great but it doesnt touch his tanks in person. Plus stan is super knowledgeable. His frags are super nice i just got a few more when i was there. Stan has a 240 custom that isnt setup yet, it is a beast and knowing stan it will be an awesome setup when he gets around to seting it up. Good Job Stan

God I miss my Passer. I shouldn't have listened to all the "experts" tell me it couldn't work in an SPS tank. Mine never bothered any other fish or picked at corals.

Great job. I love that you're not afraid to feed the fish and do the maintenance to keep that reef. Beautiful...absolutely beautiful.

its all about the skimmer bk 300 and water changes. there are about 40 fish in the whole system

I feel the same way Stan. Water changes and protein skimming is key. I use a BK 250 and have a 10 stage ro/di unit.

thanks for all the kind words, the yellow acro with the orange tips acropora florida. Bigger tank i wish i have a 120 also and 2 frag grow outs.

specs 180 main 120 main 2 frag
all 400 watt lamps 14-20k plus vho's
bk 300 delux skimmer
mtc custom cal reactor
kalk reactor geo
zeo stones 6 liters
esv salt 25 gals water change per week about 400 gals total volume.
lots of vortecs mp 40's and two mp 60's
lots of fish that are feed well
one lb of carbon once a month
2 mill start 2

yup im doing it a little different, i mix the zeo with the brightwell stones i replace about 20% every 4 months. I just cant get enouf cal/alk with just my reactor and with the kalk my ph is stronger, I use 1lb of kalk every 14 days. I use florida crushed coral in my reactor works the best in mho.

Sweet tank, Stan. A model for duplicity by anyone's standards. For curiousity's sake, what method are you using for the 6L's of Zeo stones? Do you have them in bags or reactors? Also, how long have you been using Zeo stones?

i have them in reactors i dont pump them you should thoe, my zeo reactor with the hand pump broke, soon i will get a new one. I have bin running zeo for about 5 years.
