Hello, Geezer coming back to this forum. Paul B

Humble, what does this guy have?
Looks like pretty severe HLLE. The erosion is all the way down to the flesh, making a bacterial infection more likely. I personally would give the fish a 30 minute methylene blue bath just to disinfect the wounds, and then focus on better nutrition (which I know you already do.)

The angel looks like a juvenile Koran to me. Once it transitions to adult, it will probably start eating your corals.

Paul, I think we are looking at areal bad case of HHLE on the Yellow Tang.
The angel is in juvenile coloration & my thought is an Annularis Angel because of the brown in the face.

LOL, yeah I know. I kind of hope that tang doesn't make it as he is horrible looking and much to big for my tank. He is way beyond simple HLLE and like you said, down past the flesh.

My friend is an excellent aquarium keeper but I think he was getting out for a long time and maybe just ignored these fish.

The Koran is beautiful and I would have loved to give it to someone but the deal was I had to put it in my tank because my friend had this fish from a baby and wants it to stay safe and he feels it will in my tank.

As for soaking it in methylene blue, you know that isn't going to happen and now the only way to catch those fish would be to empty the tank. I don't think I can do that and won't. Of course if they get bigger, I may have to.

I can't take a video of my tank any more because of that embarassing tang. Horrible looking fish compared to my pristine looking fish. I never want to see one scale out of place and healthy fish never have one.

That Koran is already eating my gorgonians.

I found out that tang was in his sump for a long time and he ran out of food 3 weeks ago so neither fish was fed. He is 7 years old and the Koran is 3.

What can I tell you, It wasn't mine. I wouldn't put anything in a sump, not even one of my white worms. But then again, I don't have a sump.

He certainly can eat a lot in my tank. :)

I would if I could catch the thing. I told my friend I would keep it but I don't think so. He just told me about the angel, not that half of a scopas tang.

Good Morning. I used to be on this forum many years ago just after Lincoln got shot. I had a thread that went on for many years. I decided to leave then but the owner John invited me back.

He offered me 3 weeks in the Bahamas, all expenses paid including the 53' Yacht crewed by many of the people appearing on "Dancing with the Stars".
(the winners, not the losers)
I am not quite sure if he will come through with that now with the price of gas, but we will see.

My tank is still going and it is now 51 years old. The oldest fish are a pair of almost 30 year old fireclowns which are still happy and still spawning.

I still don't quarantine or even offer up tea leaves to the Gods but my fish don't care and most of them don't even drink tea.

I do have a big reef tank problem because about 10 years ago I added a little piece of light blue, photosynthetic sponge.
Now most of my tank is covered in light blue, photosynthetic sponge. :(

It looks nice but wants to cover my corals and if I sleep late, it will cover me in bed. Horrible stuff.

This gobi is sitting on beautiful blue "Montipora" (which is actually sponge)

Since I was here I wrote a book. It's not an autobiography or a new addition of the bible but I won't mention it here except to say that JohnL is reading it.

More than 100% of the profits go to MS research in my wife's name. It is selling so fast that I got a call from a country along the Amazon River pleading with me to stop printing it because they are running out of rain forest. They had to stop printing the Bible because there wasn't enough wood for both books.

Since I was here I spoke at a few reef forums and had fun. I also started a new hobby but that is also for another day. I am old so I am not sure how many other days I have.

I also moved here to the eastern end of Long Island NY 4 years ago. I put everything in vats, drove the 60 miles out here and filled the tank. The ocean is about 90 yards behind my house so I just collect water there and dump it in. I first remove the ice cubes.
This is one of the places I collect. Occasionally I can't get on here because Dorothy Hamill uses it to practice for the 2030 Olympics.

I also invented this feeder if anyone is interested. I am not sure if I was still posting on here when this happened. But it feeds baby brine shrimp to various fish.

Time to cook, I may get back to this later. I am baking bread and making my wife her favorite, it's an Italian peasant meal.
Escarole and beans. :)

Have fun.
Very cool photos and video, I've watched it several times. Good book sales to you.

Thank you John. All the book profits go to MS research in my wife's name. Each book sold actually costs me money because I can't get a hold of Amazon and don't know how to make the money go directly to the MS Society so I get the profits and when they reach $500.00 I just send a check to them. I pay income tax on all the sales but it isn't to much so it isn't worth the time to try to get in touch with Amazon.

My Grand Daughter, Greta's other Grand Mother (not my wife) wanted to buy a bathing suit because she is coming to the Caribbean with us and the family and hasn't wore a bathing suit for decades. She is kind of (and I don't know a PC word for this) so she is a "lot of Woman".

Anyway she mentioned to Greta that she wanted to buy a bathing suit but didn't know how to go about it.

Greta said to her "Don't worry Grand Ma Linda we can just find one on line".

Her Grand Mother said to her, what do we search for.

Greta said to her "Don't worry Grand Ma Linda, I will just look up Fat Lady Bathing suits"

My close friend for over 50 years and Viet Nam Buddy is being awarded today. They put him on an Air Force plane and flew him to Washington DC for a ceremony.
I don't know any details because I found out through his wife but will post something when he returns.

He was a Grunt in Nam and like me was awarded two Bronze Stars but he also got a purple heart. I didn't get one because I am faster than he is. :p

I am very proud of him.

I have to get rid of this guy that my
"friend" gave me. He looks horrible but he is healing. Now that he is feeling better he beat the moose out of my beautiful copperband and I don't know if the copperband will survive. He pushed him into a cave and won't let him out.

I have to try to catch him and he is to big to fit in my fish trap (if I can even find the thing)
But he has to go.
