You think Marc ventures his way to this forum? I don't think he'll mind though. His name is mentioned at least 10 times a day on the New To The Hobby forum.

Thanks guys. I was planning on drilling the locline, but the elbow is a very good idea. I'll finish it up tomorrow or later next week and post more pictures.

This is my first real reef build, my current tank was given to me as a fish only and I've been working on it along the way.

Plumbing is done with minor changes from the pictures I posted. Filled with water and the initial leak test is good, plumbing and bulkheads are leak free. Pump is whisper quiet. I won't say anything more to avoid tempting fate. It's in the garage, running for 3 hours with water.

My only major worry at this point is my low sump capacity, if my return back siphons I'm flooring.

The flash really starts to bring out how nice the wood is. I picked up some paste wax to throw on later. I went with satin finish urathane and I wish I had gone high gloss. Hopefully some wax and buffing will bring some sheen out.

its in the middle of my garage. Took half an hour to find a perfectly flat spot. Its there till next weekend to test for leaks. I've had a living room with 1/2 inch of water twice now. Trying to avoid it.

Tanks up in the final spot. Got the light suspended. Most of the equipment is in place. I'll post some more pics under halide when the water clears tomorrow. The main chamber in the sump sure filled quick, I Still need to put in the calcium and phosban reactors too! Wiring is a disaster, can't wait to get my Apex.

First pics are with the LR going in, last pic shows the final arrangement. All fish are now in and happy.

Final Stats
150 gallon tank with 40 gallon sump and 10g refugium
Custom stand
200# LR 225# sand
Panworld 150px return, 3 k3 powerheads 2 1.5 modified durso external overflows and 1 inch return on OC Squirt throttled back, 5 way manifold
Odyssea modified 2x250 with pulsrite 14k and coravue electric ballast, 2 giessmann actinics and 2 giessmann actinic +, custom suspension
Reef Octopus 150 recirc skimmer (1/2 inches to spare, yay)
1/3 HP Cyclone chiller and 600w heater to 2 way controller
JBJ ATO

Not running yet
Deltec pf500 calcium reactor (waiting on apex for controller)
Phosban reactor
DJ station power center

Planned
Neptune Apex, hopefully I can get by with 1 8 outlet module

Some base rock from my other tank. It'll look better once there is some coralline on it. LFS has some very nice LR, I'll take home a piece to replace the rocks on the left side of the tank later. I added some tangs, I wanna let them adjust before I start messing with the rockwork.

Tank is running well, small diatom bloom, at least its food for everyone. My skimmer pump shorted so its currently out, new pump is on order to be here the 24th. Finished my fuge and manifold so there should be no need for anymore pumps. I'm feeding my phosban reactor, fuge and recirc skimmer.

Currently
77F
pH 8.25
Ca 400
Mag 1140
Alk 9 dKH
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Phos <.25 (I think, forgot the range)
