help for a camera newb

I've been using my blackberry as a camera and have finally grown tired of crappy pics. I'm going to get a "real" camera but I have no idea what I am looking at. The camera is going to be used pretty much just for tank pics.

this is what I was thinking about based on the user rating but I have no idea what the product features mean

Any other beginner camera recommendations would be appreciated.

Any point and shoot is going to be an improvement over your blackberry camera, but you'll still be frustrated by shutter lag (the delay between the time you press the button and when the camera takes the picture). When taking action shots, such as fish in motion, this can be a real pain.

I would suggest hitting up ebay or craigslist and finding a DSLR from Nikon or Canon, you should be able to find one that is a few years old for that same price range. (Like a Nikon D70) Plus, the pictures that come out of the DSLR will likely still be better than the that Nikon Point & Shoot.
