Help ID my new anemone

Hi All,

I just got a new anemone from the store. It is an interesting one and I am not really sure what it is exactly. I guess it is one of the small anemone. It is now about 2" diameter. I could be wrong. So, it will be a big help if anyone can guide me about its name, size, and other information.

Pic 1: the top view of the anemone. You can see the central tentacles that are longer than the disk tentacles.

It is hard to give a good ID on this in part because it seems to be withdrawn from just being placed in the tank. If you could take some pics after it settles in it may be helpfull.

That is not a Heteractis species, or any other hosting anemone species; but it is very cool looking

Please document what you can, i.e. source geography, etc., and keep taking pic's as it settles in. Again, that appears to be one very cool specimen.

Thanks for your reply, here are some more pics of the anemone.

The anemone is now almost under the sand. This is a top view.

When view from the side of the tank. You barely see the anemone.

Also, I think I found a possible ID for this one to be one of the sand anemone from the Caribbean. Maybe a Phyllactis SP. The characteristics of it having both real "tentacles" that come out at night and "Pseudotentacles" that covers the oral disk during the day are what I see so far and they could be helpful for ID.

It ate fish egg last night. I guess it should be easy to keep. It was left at the dealer for two weeks before I purchased it.

Any other idea about this anemone is welcome. I still don't know how big it can get.

Did the dealer source it with other Atlantic specimens? If so, that would be a quite cool candidate for a carib biotope

No, the fish store mix it with all other anemone they have, LTA, carpet, flower, bubble, etc. They could not tell me the origin of this one or others. I think the origin of animals just doesn't matter to them.
