Help with fish selection please

I have a 46g bow front with overkill filtration (Bermuda bps-3c skimmer) and I want to add two more fish. Current stock is
Pair of mocha occerlaris
Lyretail anthias
Orange spotted goby (small, hides all the time with his buddy pistol shrimp)
Starry blenny
Purple fire fish

I plan to remove the anthias at some point as it's getting too big and it's just such a nervous skittish fish, it doesn't jive with calm coolness of the other fish, it's too high strung.
I'm looking for some colorful open swimmers that are calm and non aggressive. I plan to buy from inland aquatics.
My son wants a neon dotty back, but I'm not sold yet, I think they can be aggressive.
I'd really appreciate some suggestions bec I want tom try and order this week..

Dottybacks can be aggressive, especially to shrimp.
What about a pajama cardinal? They're very calm.

I've never heard of a peaceful or mellow neon dottyback- they're overall a fairly aggressive group of fish.

my vote would be to remove the anthias, and add a pajama cardinal and a royal gramma.

My last fish buy was mckoskers flasher wrasse, might work in your tank.
seems to be a model citizen in mine.

I've been leaning towards a wrasse/flasher wrasse too. I like royal grammas, but I thought that they were very aggressive too.

A very aggressive fish. NOT recommended

Although semi secretive, possum wrasses are excellent.

Yes, flasher wrasses are also excellent and colorful.

Royal Grammas are pretty chill ime. And very pretty colors.

Just make sure the flasher wrasse has plenty of room to "run" when he gets going. I had one in a 3 ft, 38 gallon tank & he was my favorite fish, but he seemed cramped when he was revved up and flashing. Also will definitely need a cover on the tank.

Inland has an established pair of royal grammas that have been together 6 mos so I'm def getting them. I was thinking about a cherub angel, I know they can become dominant so I'm on the fence. They said they had a flasher wrasse but it was the end if the day so I need to call back tomorrow to find out what kind, he also said they had some fairy wrasses. Any other suggestions?

I kept to my better judgement and just ordered the pair of grammas. I'm going to try and catch the anthias today/tonight and then we'll see what they get in stock in the next few weeks. Kinda like the bangai cardinals or helfrichi firefish. Thanks for the help everyone

we got a beautiful fairy wrasse in, went in today to pick some stuff up from work cant remember the kind off the top of my head, we also got a lot of new stuff in this week, some small angels like multi colors, singapores, and some others, if i could reccommend another fish for your tank we get christmas wrasse's in every couple of orders and i have one in my tank and love it, very peaceful fish, doesnt bother anyone and is almost always out and about

Cool, thanks Nate, Lucas told me you were expecting more stock today. I'll look them up and see what they are like. Think I'm going to get the anthias out of my tank before any more fish go in though. I tried trapping her tonight and she wouldn't go in. I was tired so I didn't try for long. She's the only one that won't eat flakes so it should be easy to make her hungry enough to go in the thing, she sure was ticked off though tonight. She smelled her food but wouldn't go to the bottom to the trap. She was swimmin frantically, keeping All the other fish in check, like she was keeping them from finding te food. It was interesting to watch. I'm going to try and suspend the trap higher in the tank next time since she eats towards the top mostly.

For anyone still reading this, if you haven't yet bought something from inland aquatics, give them a try. They are awesome guys to talk to and work with to find interesting species.
