2nd of all, my 75 is quite a bit deeper than your 40B! So you're fine.

Now are you planning on full SPS dominated or? If so, maybe you should do a 6 bulb!

I'm thinking possibly an odyssea fixture with ati bulbs and I wouldn't say sps dominated but I'm hoping to have a few though. So maybe just put them on the top and I should be fine?

Thought about Aquaticlife, Tek, or even an ATI fixture?

I've heard horror stories about those fixtures. I've stayed away lol

Research is key with this hobby! Get atleast a Current Nova 6 Bulb. Had one for a while and it works nice. My dad just stopped using it if you're interested in it. Needs new bulbs but will do the job forsure

Photoperiod is about 10 hours long, peaks at 70B 60W at 5:00PM then ramps back down.

Doing a water change! Was doing weekly, though went two weeks without a water change this time. Not intentionally, but laziness got the best of me , plus I had a busy 2 weeks..

Finally got a controller! Sweet deal on a couple of month old Reefkeeper Elite!

Nice growth shot. This is about 4 months apart. Started around 3" now is at about 6.5"! Started as a Blue stag under t5's though I think turned into a purple via LED's.

Crazy how when you leave your tank alone and let it be, you notice the growth lol. Who would've ever though...
