Here we go again... The "nth" tank build!!

Here's a peek at my tank being constructed.

Just a FYI, with the removable weir on my tank, it kept the water level in the display too high. I had to replace the weir with some eggcrate.

My overflow does also house two powerheads that increases the flow thru the cutout more than if it was just normal return pump flow.

The picture doesn't show the external overflow. At the time of the pic, Keith had not installed it yet. I am going to be running two drains, one for the main drain and the other is going to be the emergency drain, ala Herbie style.

Sang!? An NSX zoomed past me the other day...and I wondered how you were doing.

Love what you've got planned!

Karl, what's up dude!! Glad you're in my thread! I made a huge mistake and sold my NSX a few years ago. I had it for a couple years and put on only 6k miles so my wife thought it was a waste of money. We also had another child on the way (Makayla) and figured it was time to get rid of my "toy". I sold it to a guy in Boston and still miss the car today.:( I just looked at prices and the car is now going for $65k!! It actually appreciated in value! Haha just my luck.

Thanks Psi, I feel the same way.:) Here's another pic I just got from Keith. The overflow chamber is now siliconed to the tank.

The new sump designs are very well thought out. I especially like all the features to reduce salt creep.

Is Keith building your overflow box cover out of acrylic? If so make sure he braces it or uses thicker acrylic. My cover is 3/16 thick and it expands and bows. I had to cut down some of the side bracing to prevent it from getting stuck in the overflow. Maybe he can make it out of glass to reduce expansion.

The overflow is made out of glass. I forgot to ask Keith if it comes with a lid. Keith, if you're reading this, does my overflow come with a lid?:)

WELCOME BACK Sang.

Love the stand and tank.
Awesome trade you had there, i consider that a win 100 times outta 100.

Thanks Charles! Good to see you in my thread. The sump should be here on Fri and I look forward to plumbing everything when my tank arrives. I also just received my foam pad for my stand and it looks like it should work perfectly to serve as a cushion between my tank and stand.

Terry, you might be waiting awhile for those pics.:) In the meantime, I'll take plenty of equipment pics for you!
