So, as I posted a couple of weeks ago, I just added an RBTA to my tank. I have been working with my ORA A. ocellaris clowns to recognize the anemone as a host -- Puting them in a separate bucket with the anemone, blocking off their previous territory, ...posting pictures (don't laugh at me, I figured it couldn't hurt :)), using my hands and my feeding stick to guide them to the anemone. I've been watching them notice the anemone and move closer at night, running to the anemone when scared but not going in it. And tonight, I caught my male doing this:

Now for his wife to follow suit...

I purchased a RBTA about 6 weeks ago, just a week after I purchased 2 6month old tank-raised clowns. They, of course, had never even seen a nem so I wondered what would happen. While I haven't posted videos for them to see, I have been observing them closely. Mine, too, seem to be gravitating to it and now hang out around it but have yet to actually go in it. It's definitely an interesting behavior to observe. The tank raised clowns are really awesome. They clearly associate people with food and run to anybody in front of the tank. They even swarm my hands anytime I have need to place them in the water.

My female tomato clown likes my hand too.
Whenever I'm cleaning the tank or otherwise put my hand in there she bites it ;sometimes draws blood. Seems to like to grab in between the fingers. Sometimes ,she'll swim from her side of the tank to the other to get me by surprise. The male attacks too but only when I get near the eggs.

Gary, yeah, they are both tank raised, and the anemone is a clone off of a RC member's anemone out in Rochester (Scott48), so nothing out of the ocean. Horray for sustainability!

On that note, it's really awesome the resources we have available to us in Upstate NY. We have some really great people, along with some really great livestock that we can get without shipping and at a fraction of the cost it would retail at. Love being a part of this community!
