How about a JBJ chiller group buy, anybody?

ok I want to confirm that I want the 1/5 JBJ and i will be making payment tomorrow evening. i'm waiting for a money transfer to clear first.

the price difference is $109.27 if u r interested in upgrading from 1/5th to 1/4th. if we do hit the 12 quantity for the 1/4th, we get a price break from $510 to $492 (plus tax and paypal fees). this means that all the 1/4hp buyers will get a $20.07 refund.

all though we are anticipating to hit 12, i aske that we pay the full amount. a CASH refund will be given when u pick up the chiller. i'm just trying to keep things simple so i don't have to track who paid the full or re-discounted price. hope u all understand.

So if you get a total of (12) 1/4 hp units how much does it come out to?

i'll ship to you via ups or fed ex ground but please dont ask me to quote you how much. i dont know how much these guys weigh and the dimensions of the box. you can pay for the chiller and handle the shipping seperately.

i actually prefer that you use fedex or ups site to arrange shipping. you input all the weight and box dimensions, pay using your credit card and then you can email me the shipping lable. i just print it then slap it on the box. simple for me and keeps me out of the shipping transaction.

above applies to anyone who wants their unit shipped.

Anyone here already own a 1/3 or 1/5? Can you be so kind and give me the dimensions of the box or the actual chiller? I prefer the box size. I found the weight on the JBJ site but not the dimensions. For anyone interested, the 1/3 hp weighs 61 lbs. and the 1/5 hp weighs 49 lbs. according to the JBJ website.

Also, you were willing to drop it off at FedEx/UPS correct? I think that's easier then trying to coordinate a pick-up time. I'll throw in an extra $10-20 for your time. Let me know what you prefer for the shipping arrangement.

Looks like we have enought 1/4 units of people who have paid or are willing to upgrade.

Can you let us know how much more we should paypal to you? If in the end we don't have enough you can just refund the cash difference or deny the payment right?
 
i'm waiting for a couple of more people who said for sure they want a chiller but just need this weekend to gather funding.

let me know if you want to upgrade. i can just refund your initial payment and just send the correct full amount. i think this is better because we get double dinged with paypal fees. if we break it up in 2 payments.

a paypal account is pretty easy. just go to the site and register. it'll be good for future use if you see something on ebay or another group buy.
