How about a JBJ chiller group buy, anybody?

is group buy still happening? wondering if someone who got pm'ed a price for a 1/10 and/or 1/5 could pm me how much the prices for the gb were being quoted at? i'm down if someone starts it up again, have ability to do local pickup, payment.
Someone is taking over to organize the buy, I will still be assisting him but I won't be involve as much as I wanted to. I apologize for not finishing what I started, I just don't have the time or energy to get into something like this right now (too much stuff going on right now). He will be posting here soon.

ok,
i'll pick up the task in organizing this. i just confirmed from the vendor that all warranties are honored directly by jbj. these are all brand new and unopened units and not refurbs. we can get delivery as anytime next week just as long as we get our payments in.
i dont feel like answering individual pms on prices so i will ask permission if i can post the price here.
will update this thread later this evening or tomorrow.

btw, i can ask that the chillers be delivered in the area of where the majority of the orders come from. i'm guessing its orange county.

in respect to the reef central sponsors and other retail stores, i was asked not to permanently post our group buy prices. i was told that i can make a LINK for everyone to see the total price. this price list will be removed as soon as we finish the group buy.

i need a chiller asap so i'm hoping we can get all the payments asap. i was also told that we need to get a few more people in to get the pricing.
the chiller can be dropped of in orange county but i can pick up for the san gabrel valley and los angeles people. i have a van that i can load several chillers in.

great question. the pricing from what i understand depends on a a decent amount of chillers being ordered. i dont know the exact target number but vendor says they are very flexible. if we are only able to hit a small number such as 4 or 5 , we still have the option to buy but it will be on a slightly higher price. that price will be provided at that time. we can then decide if we want to buy or get a full refund.
they say that discount is still good if we get 4 or 5 chillers ordered.
its up to you when to start paying. the con about waiting to pay is everyone will be waiting for someone to pay first. this just delays the process. i'd say i'll pay first but its pointless since i'm coordinating this thing.
since laverda volunteered first, chillers will be at his place.
c'mon, my fish are cookin and i need this this week. let get the ball rolling folks.

Just so I understand I should pay now. If something happens and the price changes or it doesn't happen I can get my money back? Who is in control of the account? I have a frien that needs a 1/3 chiller as well.

me. vendor wants a single payment. account is paypal verified. several reef central members has been in my house so i cant take off with your cash.
i'll update the thread on who paid and also who said they're interested but no payment.
