Its been about a week since i purchased a green lta from my lfs and it hasnt expanded yet as if it isnt happy. I just wanted to know what i can do in order to make it feel more at home. Any advice would be much appreciated!
How can i get my anemone to expand?

How many watts of t5ho lighting do you have? Looks like you have a 2 bulb fixture over a 55g? It might not be enough watts/lighting for the anemone. Also your calcium is kinda high. You want it around 440 to 460ppm. Usually, anemones move around for awhile till they find the right spot. What kind of lights was it under where you purchased it?

Im not sure, but i got it from petco and it seemed to be doing really well there, and their fish dont even do that well. Ill try and see if i can post a pic so you guys can see what its doing. Oh and also how can i lower my calcium with the salt i use, its red coral pro salt

yeah u might need more light. it was prob sitting under a MH at Petco?

Ok this is my anemone after I moved it right up under my light, which is the reason why he is in a bowl. He actually seems a little better since before when he was just a flat lifeless blob. Every time we would put him on a rock he didnt seem like he liked it.

IMHO, that's not enough light for a newly introduces LTA/M. doreensis, on the bottom of a 55.
LTAs do not attach to rock long-term, they dig into the sand or gravel. So maybe that's why it never stayed before when you put it on the rock. The situation you've provided now is more appropriate for that species. Hopefully it will dig into the gravel you've provided and attach. Ultimately, if it does dig in, then it would be good to add more sand/gravel as a minimum of 4 inches is needed to keep them happy. Although nitrates of 10 isn't terrible, I would do water changes and try to get that to undetectable. Though well established anemones will tolerate nitrate of that level, it is an irritant that could make it more unlikely that your anemone will acclimate.
