how does one mantain this amount of fishes...

+1. Pretty typical. All the fish look healthy, and there little, to no signs of aggression. I am curious to see what happens to the pilotfish when they get 3 feet bigger, though.
that is the giveaway here!

What we see in the video is a temporary situation.

Wow, I actually just watched the video. That is stupidity personified. They should bookmark that video with a sticky in EVERY subforum here as what NOT to do with a tank. What is it, a 4' tank at best? MAYBE 5'? Insanity.

that was what i thought when first seen the video...
though some forumers argued and which i think true to a certain extent, that in asia overstocked tanks are natural, the fish combination of this tank stands out to me,unless someone show me even more drastic video...
moreover such overstocking may be normal for a shop,in asia particularly, which will hold a fish for few weeks generally...but for a hobbyist tank....:hmm6:

Not just asians doing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt7CAuweshQ in LA. Also click the "MY MARINE FISH" similar video, and then keep clicking similar videos that look overstocked.

It is not like there is only one of these tanks out there. Many people have tanks like this and they work, some even show progression videos with many of the fish still in the tank. It is just not what we are used to seeing or doing, but there are more than one way to do things.

I absolutely agree that there are more than 1 or 2 ways of doing things...but having that many LARGE, open swimming fish in a 4' tank? I don't care if the sump is 1000 gallons and the water quality is ok, there's still no swimming room.

Just because a boxer puppy would fit in my microwave, doesn't mean it should go in there. :hammer:

Well the boxer puppy is only a fraction of its adult size... so really it's not like putting an adult boxer in a microwave at all, it only needs 20% of the adult space! ;) :rolleye1:

Yea, that's what I said/meant in earlier reply. The main problem with these tank IMO, isn't so much the stocking level, but what fish they have housed in there. If this was a 60gal filled with gobies, cardinals, blennies, damsels, etc, whatever.... No hair of my chest. But there is no justification for housing these angels/tangs that need large tanks and swim miles a day, in the case of those Golden Pilot Jacks, hundreds of miles a day, in those little tanks.

All the fish aren't healthy, the Jacks are obviously underfeed, the Scopas are the 1:08 mark or so, is rather sickly looking as well.
