How many of you support your lfs

I'm lucky to have a number of quality stores within a 2 hour drive, but the one I routinely support is 5 minutes from my job. He charges a little more for dry goods but his livestock is healthy and he'll stand by it on the rare occasion that a fish is sick. The owner is a strong supporter of our local club and as someone else said, sometimes it's nice to just go somewhere people know you. The owner knows who his loyal customers are, if I want a particular fish or peice of equipment he will work to get it for me. Likewise if something. I buy isn't working out, he'll usually take it back (I can't think of a time when he hasn't). You just don't make those relationships online.

Nothing against online vendors but I am grateful for my LFS!

My LFS is only 1 mile away so I'm there quite often. I buy all my livestock there and some of the dry goods, especially if I don't feel like waiting for shipping. Some things, like 5' T5 bulbs are really expensive to ship so I buy those at the LFS too (bulk discount for them). I do trade in frags so having store credit is also terrific... this reminds me that I want to get the Tunze Stream 3 and now it's "cheaper" with store credit. Score! Salt I almost always order online because you can't argue with $45 for 200 gal of RC with free shipping.

Used to by everything online.
Now all at the lfs.
But there is only one good store in town. Luckily they have decent stock.

The prob with LFS is most of the workers are full of crap and give very poor advice, and just try to sell above all. If it weren't for high shipping on livestock, and the ability to see it in person, I would prob never shop there

I have lots of stores to chose from, but if I only bought from them, I wouldn't have half the corals in my tank because they never carry them.
