How rare is this?

Might be a month or so for the next updates. We have been informed about another location which is apparently covered with corals and might try to find it.
Other than that the low tides will now turn around to the nights (around midnight). So when they come round we will be targeting Margined Butterflies (Well Azumi mainly). Fish are so easy to catch when they are asleep.
Also for you Octoshark I will endeavour to take some photos of some larger octopus for you. On our last night trip we saw several larger ones. They must come out hunting crabs.

Thanks to all who have been voting for this thread by the way.

I cant wait! :bounce1: :D

So since you get to take stuff right from the wild. how many of the things you collect. have bugs or other nasties on them.are the fish full of parasites. or does all these nasties something that is more on the hobbyist side of it trading them around and such.

I've had a few mantis come in on the rocks, plus a few pistol shrimp, but thats about it. Actually looking at getting a mantis myself, caught a nice pink one on the last trip out, but ended up letting it go because we had no room to keep it (main aim was the collect coral sand and live rock).

But Lewy has a nice coloured mantis that came in on live rock, I'm sure he could post a photo up.

Almost all the fish we have caught have been healthy, plus we get to choose which fish we keep or release. half the fun is catching them, taking a photo and releasing them.

Awesome thread! Definitely enjoyed looking through all the pictures!!!

It reminds me of cruising through the tides in my home town of San Clemente, Ca and going up to Dana Point. It is amazing how much life are in the tides, even if there aren't a lot of corals. I remember sitting on the rocks just looking in ONE tide pool and watching it forever wondering if something else would "pop" up.

Keep the pics coming!

beautiful pics, thanks for sharing.

reminds me of when I was in Kenya and would go out on the reef at low tide.

I would love to back in a warm part of the world with waters like yours.
