How rare is this?

The better idea is to breed clowns in the tank, and sell them to customers so they do not have to buy wild caught clowns.

lol it works both ways.:headwalls: just like they do trout in my area. Breed then release.

Amazing pictures!! I cant image if down the block of my house is a reef.:spin1:

Wow that's so amazing and you found it all in the same place I wish I lived in Australia. Oh and do you have a license to take things or do you just catch it and let it go?

Lewy, 1 quick question how did all the rain that you had affect the corals and other wildlife this year...that much fresh water running off from rivers and such had to have some kind of impact idk just wondering.

We call that the run-off and obviously occurs every year.

All part of the cycle and I suspect it would have minimal impact. All of those baby prawns that you see are a direct result of this. They all get flushed out of the larger rivers to the coast.

Maybe my question should have been...Have you noticed the sg change from the where you do your collecting? Just wondering because some years it can be a lot more than others. Also this great thread has kept my 9yr old son very occupied, thanks again.

You are so lucky to be able to go out and find these things. Someday I might get lucky and actually go to the ocean and explore.

Tides were good yesterday. So we went out for a walk.

One for the sponge lovers.

Best for last again.

We spotted this purple crab and I bent down to give it a prod.

Then out of nowhere this small blue ring came out. It was his lunch.

Then as we were watching Azumi stepped backwards and I noticed this large one coming out as well.

We saw around 4 of them all up. Must be breeding season or something.
