How rare is this?

As you can see there are a lot more colourful acros and structures.

Access (from first photo) is literally straight off the beach. Approx. 800m walk but in the heat of the day. It is hard work.

Especially coming buck with buckets full of LR and corals with water.

Yes. Most of the clowns are Rubros. Ugly suckers when they get large and very aggressive.

Also goes to show how hardy the corals are as well. Water temp in some of the pools are very high and some of the corals can be exposed for up to an hour or two.

LOVE this thread. Those daylight shots are so great. Really makes me wish people would get off the blue water kick and see how a natural reef is supposed to look. Outstanding.

Beautiful pictures. You are very lucky. I love your old tank as well. The corals were gorgeous and that little butterfly was too cute.

Lewy,
Where is the juvi. Mulleri in that pic?

If you look closely. She is in the centre of the photo.

Thanks. It was a very nice tank. I had a problem with the acrylic hence it was taken down.

But in the end. It was a just a big pile of rocks with the corals stuck in the gaps.

Fairly extreme tides which we get every couple of months.

We get them around midnight at the beginning of the year and they swing to the daytime at the end.

Sometimes we can even get a negative tide as well.

A great start to the new year.

Largish Rubro found. Released after the pic was taken.

This is how we find torches.

Large Duncanopsammia colony (a few small frags were taken). Note that they are actually buried in the sand.
