Hundreds of East African Rose BTA's at Tropical Paradise

I also heard about Dale owning either a collecting station or coral farm.

If Dale doesn't own either one, why were prices so much cheaper at Great Bay when he owned it? If you do a search on Great Bay, you will find a lot of people finding very good deals. I personally bought 7 SPS colonies for $195 out the door, including a pink table, blue stag, tri-color, etc. These are full sized colonies, not frags, ranging from small to large where it retails for $45-$150/each elsewhere.

Great Bay was packed when shipments came in, just like 6th Ave. on Sunday mornings.

Barebottoms said Dale drove the shipment up and Eddy and Dale unpacked and he knows that for sure.

Now Got Chow said Dale and Eddy picked up the shipment at the same time.

Which is true?
My fault, barebottoms is right. I meant they basically unpacked the shipment at the same time, not picked up. Barebottoms was there that day, I was in Davis.

From my previous post, I said he did not have a collecting station in Bali, and from my belief, not in Africa. ;) I don't know about other places though... I've seen some good stuff. :) But it seems like it's hard to get stuff out of Indonesia compared to other places, and everyone wants stuff out of Bali for obvious reasons.

Time to go into a meeting. I want to see some good stuff in here when I return. :p

This was a fun thread to read.

Now that some time has passed, I wonder how much that huge shipment enventually contributed to collapsing the price of RBTA's in the Bay Area.

It just goes to show you that if there is high enough demand for something, the market forces will work to drive down the price.

Did they ever figure out the true source of the anemones?

Best of luck,

Roy
