The landlord finally came by and got me a fridge. He just took one out of one of the other apartments. When he pulled mine, he noticed a sticker on the back of the fridge.
Deliver to:
El Kay ct. Phase 1 apartments
Highland Ill. 62249
Must be delivered before March 1, 1971.
So that make this fridge 35 years old. I figured the fridge probley cost $100 new in 1971. I think they definatly got their money worth on that one.

Now I got to replace all my food, and my fish food, DT. and other additives. Ouch

Funny. I have a fridge in my garage that my parents gave me and I know it is about that same age. Still keeps plenty of beverages frosty just like new, even in the hot summer!
