I cut my RBTA

Last night about 10pm I walked by my tank and noticed my largest RBTA was in the process of moving. It had part of its foot on two differnt rocks and it was spread out. I have always thought about propagating it because it does not split often. It is very healthy and about 6-7inches wide. All I mainly wanted to do is induce it to split. I took a razor blade and cut through the mouth and up the top of the anemone. It took about 2 hours to complete the split after that and I was pretty woried about it yesterday but both halves look great today.

Pics? I was following the thread where the guy cut his carpet and I believe it all died?

Half lived.

here is the best pic I could get. This is the small half. I was woried that I did not get any of the mouth for it. As of now it is doing the best though. The other half is hidden in the back and I cant get a pic.

I'll be trying my hand at cutting anemones shortly in a 30G dedicated to it.

You probably got lucky in that it didn't affect anything else by cutting it in your tank like that.
