I'm with mcgyvr, it's weird even if the doser gets covered. The extra shape in the bottom just adds more silicone seams and the you pile rocks on top of it. Not me... and I like weird stuff!

The panels cover the silicone
Can I ask ,,, are your rocks floating or piled up?
I understand everyone has different taste and I brought the tank to please me

It's interesting I'll give you that. What's the plans for it? All rockwork can look odd but when properly filled with coral and given time to grow and fill out the rockwork the most simplest of structures can outdo these new aquascaping styles

Hi buddy
My plans are sps only, acroporas on plate montipora on the lower rock
I understand some may think it odd but I have a huge surface area to plant
I think it's easy to try and be far to creative with rock, I don't intend on looking at rock
It's all about coral, it's a solid foundation not a pile of balancing rock waiting to topple

My rock sits on egg crate that is held 2.5" off the bottom glass on pvc pipe legs. But then the bottom of my tank is flat and sitting on a stand. I'd just be a bit concerned about the 2 vertical panels. Is there a horizontal brace in there somewhere? Maybe even the back glass?

I'm not knocking the tank. If it's what you wanted, that's great! It's just not my cup of tea. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.:thumbsup:

I like it. Judging by your last setup you definitely have a good handle on things, that's putting it lightly :)
