I-Tech Skimmer Club .

Anybody having problems with the black sheath on there Tunze pumps, I just saw a post on the Tunze site, they had one go bad in a little over a year.

I think you are referring to my post on the Tunze forum. I contacted Tunze and they told me to send it to them and they would take care of me. It is a great pump and hopefully mine was a fluke.

Thanks Gary , I was commenting on your post . I am shortly going to buy that pump for my I-Tech 200 because my Sicce has done the same thing. I will hate to buy a new pump every two years because of this issue.

I had the Sicce pump before the Tunze on my 200 and you are going to like the Tunze. Very quiet and no start-up issues.

I had an issue with my tunze pump the insulation for the power cord was pulling away from the motor body. I contacted tunze and send it in. I received a replacement motor block (w/ new power cord) a week later. thumbs up for me.

So that is two pumps so far I know that they're are a lot of Tunze coming up on there two year warranty. I am not trying to bash tunze but better to catch it under warranty. PS I have over 4 Tunze products so far.

I don't really have much production. My phosphates and nitrates are zero. Do you think I just don't have enough waste? I have the 200 and I've played around with different depths.

Just got my I-Tech BEAST home a few days ago! Man this thing is a monster, and wellllll worth the wait. I think it was 2-2.5 months of a wait but this thing is completely custom. The pumps are modified Laguna's and are in body with custom volute's and the whole shabang. The last month of the wait was John dialing in and tweaking the skimmer and pumps for optimum performance. Who does that? This thing is made in the USA and is handmade...but more than all of that, the customer service is second to none.

Bitter pill

Bitter pill

When I swiched the foam production was more consistant, I got more bubbles in the body, not to mention the tunze is way quieter and think less wattage. You got the "bitter pill" to swallow right!

Will I got my 9420 today, I already got it running, so far so good. Started right up the first time, a slight hum at first but now it is quiet. Looking forward to seeing the improvements

i-Tech 100 Question

i-Tech 100 Question

Question for other i-Tech owners. Are you able to remove the Silencer Cap from the top of the Adjustment Pipe? The instructions say the fitting is removable for occasional cleaning but mine seems to be on there pretty good. Just wondering if it's just mine. Don't want to damage things by forcing it but I've tried removing it without much luck.

Regards,

Jeff
