Anybody having problems with the black sheath on there Tunze pumps, I just saw a post on the Tunze site, they had one go bad in a little over a year.
Thanks Gary , I was commenting on your post . I am shortly going to buy that pump for my I-Tech 200 because my Sicce has done the same thing. I will hate to buy a new pump every two years because of this issue.
i have the model 200, but has upgraded to a 250 gal DD i wonder can he do a model 400 with the pump inside?
Eric, I think I had it running at about 7 1/2" or just covering the outlet pipe.
imagine the i-tech beast cup filled with this. you better have a few plug in air fresheners.:thumbsup:Just got my I-Tech BEAST home a few days ago! Man this thing is a monster, and wellllll worth the wait. I think it was 2-2.5 months of a wait but this thing is completely custom. The pumps are modified Laguna's and are in body with custom volute's and the whole shabang. The last month of the wait was John dialing in and tweaking the skimmer and pumps for optimum performance. Who does that? This thing is made in the USA and is handmade...but more than all of that, the customer service is second to none.

When I swiched the foam production was more consistant, I got more bubbles in the body, not to mention the tunze is way quieter and think less wattage. You got the "bitter pill" to swallow right!
