2 months ago I introduced a juvi pair of onyx to my 120gal reef with a 5-6" RTBA which they would hosted right away. However, a few days later, one of the pair disappeared out of the blue and I checked everywhere but couldn't find the body, and the surviving one kept on looking into the mouth of the anemone, as he was trying to rescue his partner. A few days later the anemone spited out a black string of stuff which I think is the carcus (sp) and a week later the other onyx also MIA.
A week ago I again introduced 2 true percs, again they hosted right away, but after I came home this afternoon, one of them disappeared and the surviving one did the same thing as the first one, looking into the mouth trying to rescue the eaten one. Now I am afraid of that I will loss remainder. What should I do at this point, have you guys observed RTBA which would consume anemone fish.
I feed mine once a week with a piece of shrimp, but doesn't seem it's enough. Oh by the way, the rose bubble is not sticky at all. Any suggestion or similar observation is very much appreciated.
