2 months ago I introduced a juvi pair of onyx to my 120gal reef with a 5-6" RTBA which they would hosted right away. However, a few days later, one of the pair disappeared out of the blue and I checked everywhere but couldn't find the body, and the surviving one kept on looking into the mouth of the anemone, as he was trying to rescue his partner. A few days later the anemone spited out a black string of stuff which I think is the carcus (sp) and a week later the other onyx also MIA.

A week ago I again introduced 2 true percs, again they hosted right away, but after I came home this afternoon, one of them disappeared and the surviving one did the same thing as the first one, looking into the mouth trying to rescue the eaten one. Now I am afraid of that I will loss remainder. What should I do at this point, have you guys observed RTBA which would consume anemone fish.
I feed mine once a week with a piece of shrimp, but doesn't seem it's enough. Oh by the way, the rose bubble is not sticky at all. Any suggestion or similar observation is very much appreciated.

Clowns normally poke around in the anemones mouth. I doubt if it is a rescue attempt. I have not heard of a RBTA eating Percs. I've put them together when the babies were teeny tiny and have not noticed any problems. Did you check the overflow or sump?

Once the clown has adopted an anemone and is swimming in its tentacles, it would be almost impossible for the anemone to eat it

No, it's true red bubble tip, might not be as bloody red as the one posted but it does inflate and deflate to form bubble tip. One thing that trouble it's that the surviving one will keep on poking the mouth seemingly wanting to steal the undigested remain out. I just don't want it to commit any suicide by going directly inside the mouth.
I will post a pic later.

It is not unusual for a clown to actually swim into their anemones stomach and come back out minutes later with no harm done. I wouldn't worry about the anemone eating your clowns. It is more likely that the clowns are dying and your cleanup crew is eating them before you find the bodies.
