i tried garlic on my ich infected clownfish

he's had ich for the last 5 days, but has been eating like a champ everytime i feed him. i tried feeding him the same flake food, but soaked in garlic juice and he would violently spit it back out, am i doing something wrong? i dont even know how i would go about catching him to even try a dip
 
I think garlic is only thought to help prevent ich, not cure it. Catching the fish and treating in QT with hypo or copper is far and away the best solution. Any fish can be caught, some are just more of a pain than others, depending mostly on tank setup.
 
well thats what im saying, as soon as i open the lid on my tank, my clowns ditch the anemone and hide in the rocks
 
Is it possible to move your rocks temporarily to a plastic trash can (with water in it)? That's what I did to catch my coral beauty and clownfish in my 55. Like I said, it's pain, but it can be done. Do you have many corals attached to your rocks? That would make it more of a pain. If not, it's really not that bad.
