In pictures of people tanks I have seen tableing/tabling:confused: or corals that table. I like those and wanted to know the names of them so I will know what frags to purchase. Also the long branchy corals are those stags? I have seen some awsome tanks and I think mine is too and I will post pictures once I have a few corals in place. Can you guys post pics of these type of corals and mention the name? Thanks

here's a pic of a frag i just got recently. They just called it a neon green table acro. The colony is from fragfarmer.com. Its in their main display, looks reall nice when its fully tabled.

Flow definately helps and so does the depth at which you place the coral. A. Millepora, A. Efflo, A. Plana are some tabling acros

AN efflo is one coral I am looking to purchase but I can't seem to find a nice piece worth buying. I am now stocking my tank with various millies. Any help on the efflo anyone?

really tables are probably the hardest coral to keep. they require tons of flow. I would say you would have a better chance at success if you grow from frags. names of tables. Acropora caroliniana, Acropora clathrata, Acropora cytherea, Acropora desalwii, Acropora efflorescens, Acropora donei(can table), Acropora granulosa(kind of), Acropora hyacinthus(prbably most common, red ro green), Acropora jacquelineae, Acropora millepora(can table), Acropora solitaryensis, Acropora tutuilensisan odd thick branched plate. Cant think af any more right now.

Check my gallery for a pic of A. Tutliensis. More plating them tabling.

Edit. Here it is....

Too bad you are not in Phoenix, I have a beautiful yellow-green tabling millepora. And it is super hardy also.

What kind of brain is that? I don't think I have seen one so round. What did you do to get it that way? Very nice coral.

Nice!!!! I will look into that coral

and certainly---montipora foliosa, which makes lovely whorls and tables and cups; nor to forget turbinaria, which can do some interesting shapes.

I'm glad to know about the habit of mille. That will help me place my very wandering pink mille frag. I've never known what to do with it.

Also my green bali slimer is bending with the flow of my fairly new Sea Swirl: it's looking like a fountain blowing sideways in the breeze, about 2" of bend now, with a turn to the side, when it was growing straight up.

Foliosa is one of my favorites. It can actually change its shape almost day by day, and it comes in purple/green and orange/orange sherbet.
