I want to buy RO water

I was told that you can drink RO water, but once it hits the DI that you shouldn't drink it. I don't know if that is true or not, but I was also told that if you plan to drink some, have the water store after RO, and only fish water go through the DI.

Again, I don't know for sure if that is true, but I believe I have heard that from more than one person.

i have heard RO water after DI all the time for ya is bad but straight RO water isnt. hence why some of these soft water systms have RO systems hooked to the sink for drinking but no DI is hooked up to that spout

this is how my unit is. the holding tank holds RO water. and the drinking tap comes off that pressurized bladder. When you use the spigot to fill up a bucket that pressurized water flows thru the last filter the DI resin. In that setup that bladder tank essentially always have about 3 gallons ready to use for fish or drinking.
