I want to go to Japan.

These corals are AMAZING! That's what I call some extraordinary stuff. The scolymias are reaaly nice. And did you looked at the fishes?! They get really rare fishes like pepperminth angels, hybrid maculosus angel and blue queen angels.

Thank you for the link.

Yes...it's all amazing stuff. The way they do their lighting and plumbing is very different as well. Take a look at some of the other sections of that site. There's some pretty amazing tanks featured.

Do some google searches for Japanese Reef Tank and see what you can find. The Japanese do some pretty incredible stuff in both the plant and aquarium hobbies.

How's this for a lighting fixture?:

Awesome stuff, but those pictures are about 6 years old now. Talk about taking a long time to update a website! :D

Yeah, the irony is it's still light years ahead of what you see on the best store websites here in the US right now!

Apparently there are very few manufacturers that make metal halides for the Japanese power system so they rely heavily on LEDs and high intensity spotlights-- all stuff we're just starting to see now.

Now that is HOT!:smokin:

Five years ago people here in the US were going nuts over the corals on that site.

This picture in particular

Things are a bit different now. I don't see any corals there that are any better than the corals we are getting here.

Nice fish though.

I did a xchange on the prices on the SPS can't say they are cheap.
One thing with the lighting the Japanese uses is that they spot light the corals...I think some of those LPS are awsome but I suspect the actinic spot light enhance the color that much

I've never seen a Peppermint for sale, and they have 2!!!!!
