Love the tank and rockwork!

So how is it that you have a basement? I was under the assumption that all houses in Cali didn't have basements.

that looks like a big basement!

sweet tank setup. Light fixture? $$$$ But looks soooooo nice

Thanks man.

Thanks Sara.

Well, the area really just part of the crawl space. Not sure what it was used for before. Its dug below grade so the ceiling height is a bit over 6 feet.

Looks Great Ian! Are you going to keep a mixed tank? And are you planning on just moving your existing fish over? Or adding some new fish?

Moving the existing fish for the most part. Right now I have:
1 black tang
1 achilies tang
1 purple tang
pair of nahacky's or tongan flame wrasse
1 radiant wrasse
1 potters leopard wrasse
1 red mandarin
1 green mandarin
1 spotted mandarin (unsure which I will add)

I do possibly want to add some fish in the future just unsure which fish.

I am keeping it mixed. Hopefully things will do well when I transition the coral and fish over to the display.

Thanks Mark.

Nanoreefbro, I picked the tang up over a year ago at a store called Ocean Treasures in SF. That store closed its doors a month or so ago.

Are you planning on putting a sand bed in, if so what kind (grain or larger crushed shell type)

The sand is in there already. I used the same sand that Mark used in the past. Tideline sand from petco. Its a pretty big grain sand.

Here are some quick shots of some of the other fish I added.

I've had all these fish for a while. They seem to be getting along well. I also added a purple tang in the tank as well.

Ian

I like the box above your lights, anymore details/pictures of it? I want something like that for my XR4.

Thanks Bryan
