Identify REEF BUGS... Maybe Flatworms?

I pulled out a piece of dead ACRO from my tank and dipped it in hot water to see if anything was living on it and I found these pests...

I'm not sure what they are but they look flat and maybe some type of flatworm?

Note the flat long slits as eyes (possibly?)

If you are looking for a flatworm eating fish I would recommend a Springri/Springer's Damsel over a Six-Line. I found the six-lines to be agressive and annoying whereas my springers damsel is great, peaceful, and I've never seen a flatworm since introducing him. They are also under $10 most places.

These definitely are not amphipods as they do not have a defined body or legs etc. the only defining features are the two slits (looks like eyes to me).

Also, keep in mind that they are in freshwater during the video and most are dead/dying. I assume that they are some type of flatworm over a type of pod or chiton. *chitons also have a very distinguished exoskeleton as compared to this.

I appreciate the suggestions tho!

And yes a six line can be aggressive but mine never has shown aggression although it was the last introduced to the tank

Is it true that a six line will eat AEFW. I haven't heard this but I've always thought that something must eat them.
Usually yes, but Pseudocheilinus wrasses are not kind to others. And it's only a method of population control, not eradication. But a better choice... (see below)

Odds are your opinion will change if you ever try to add another fish. ;)

Oh pshh!,,, get a yellow coris wrasse!!
Any Halichoeres wrasse is a better choice than an evil Pseudocheilinus wrasse. And a yellow "coris" isn't a Coris at all, but rather a Halichoeres.

Still pops up on Google as yellow coris wrasse anyways. Im not trying to be scientific but yea it should be a great addition. Heres other names to find it under(:

The Yellow Wrasse is also referred to as the Golden Rainbowfish, Golden Wrasse, Yellow Coris, or Canary Wrasse. Good luck man!

Thanks... I'll check out that Yellow Coris wrasse...

My one big question about him... Is he reef safe?

I have ACANS, SPS, LPS, 3 clams, euphilia: frogspawn hammer , heidnepora, candy/trumpets, multiple chalice, favia, gsp, zoas, daisy polyps, lobo, ... and some others

I also have a hawaiian cleaner wrasse, fire shrimp, sea star, purple tang, yellow watchman & pistol shrimp, clowns, chromis, red hawkfish, royal gramma, ...

I can't even think about him if he goes after the acans or clams.

Gracias

A 50 gallon or larger aquarium with a sealed lid, a 2-3 inch sandy bottom to hide under when frightened, and other peaceful Wrasses, including its own species, provides a good environment. It will eat fireworms and pyramidellid snails, protecting corals and clams. In addition, it may eat feather dusters, wild shrimp, tubeworms, and flatworms. It may also eat parasites off of tank mates.

The Yellow Wrasse diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with a high quality marine flake and marine pellet food.

I've had a yellow coris wrasse in my tank almost since it's inception and it has never touched a coral (LPS, SPS, zoas, palys, etc.). Not sure if does anything for bug control but it's among my two favorite fish (love my Orchid Dottyback too).

I've recently dipped some acros in CoralRX that are necrotizing (for unknown reasons at this point) and could find absolutely no bugs even under a magnifying glass. Amost wish I found something since that at least would provide an explanation.

Help! What are these bugs?

Help! What are these bugs?

I screwed up and put a brain coral in my frag tank without quarentine. Shortly there after I found these little bugs crawling all over everything. Are they good or bad? How can I kill them? It doesnt take long but they seem to be covering all the rocks. coral bug.jpg

Looks like red flat worms, they are bad, take the brain out asap, coraldip it and shake as much off as possible. After quarantine it. Also use a turkey baster to suck out any that you see in your tank, and buy something that will eat it.
