Not sure if I am new here or not, but in any event, it's been a long time since I've read or posted on the board. Been keeping aquariums on and off since I was 8 or 9. First tank was a 5 1/2 gallon guppy tank that my dad killed off when he decided to use some industrial cleaner on it.

After college went the salt water route for 6-8 years and progressed to larger tanks. After I was married had a 200 gallon reef for a while. Moved and sold that one and went with Freshwater planted and discuss for about five years. That went away when I was divorced a few years ago. Just getting back into the hobby. A little more financially stable now so I'm going for all the bells and whistles this time around. Rimless reef, ACIII, T-5s, Vortechs.

Hobby has changed a good amount in the 10 years I've been away (no bio-balls). Never made sense to me anyway given all the surface area on the rock.

Looking forward to learning more. More of a lurker than a poster.

Hi, my name is Chris and I'm from Pennsylvania. I have a new 70 gallon tank and I'm just starting off. Looking forward to having some fun here and picking up advice. :D

Thank you! :)

oh your very welcome
Seriously, you might consider starting your own tank build thread on here as soon as you can. That way it becomes an excellent reference for you as the hobby continues for you.

Newbie

Hello everyone,
I have had freshwater fish since I was a wee small lad, now I have made the giant ( money) leap to Saltwater fish.

I have always wanted to do saltwater but heard that it was very difficult and time consuming. Now that I am older I find that it is very difficult and time consuming AND expeisive to boot lol...

Anyway... my name is mark I live in Indiana and have had a 55 gallon reef tank up for about 3 months now. I have found some great information on this site and hope someday to be able to return the favor and help others out.

lol,
I am going to try and post instead of lurking like I have been for the past couple of months, there is just so much information here it takes a while to sort through it.

Tthere seems to be a lot, of really smart people here with years of experience in this hobby. will be kind of hard to compete with that :)

And thanks for the welcome
