My name is Michael, I am from Denver, Colorado. In the process of setting up my 12g JBJ Nano Cube DX as a reef tank. Waiting for the stand to show up and then it is time to take the plunge. I plan on sourcing rock, sand and inhabitants locally. Looking forward to taking my time and having some fun along the way. Cheers.

Hello all, I'm Bryan and I live in Cary, NC.

I currently have 5 tanks (soon to be 4). I have two 34g Solana cubes, two 12g JBJ Nano Cube DX and one 28g JBJ LED Advanced Cube. All are setup as mini reefs, except one Solana may become a FOWLR to house a bonded pair of clownfish.

One of the Solana's I purchased today didn't have lights so I put a temporary fixture until I can find the 150w "disco ball" halide pendant. If you have one for sale send me a message.

Hi everyone
I am new to SW reefs. I have a 20 Gal. It cycled and I have had it running for about 8 weeks now. I have a CUC, and corals in it so far. No fish yet. I do weekly stare changes. 5 Gal each, which due to rocks cape and such, is almost 50%. I have a ton of questions, and look forward to getting to know many here.
I posted a thread about "new reef fishes" on the Reef Fish forum.

Hello RC. I've been a lurker for years but never a member.

I've been into marine aquariums for just over 5 years now but have been keeping glass boxes for about 37 years total.
I began saltwater with a 55 gallon FOWLR. I never intended on getting into reefkeeping. The rock I purchased was Fiji from a FL mariculture facility. Long story short, what ever survived the cycle and began popping out of the rock around the 5 month mark caused huge changes in my life. I became addicted to coral, glue and electricity. I've all but forgotten freshwater except for a small project breeding "my" own strain of show grade Delta guppies.

At one point I had 15 systems totaling nearly 700 gallons of saltwater spread throughout my home and business. Unfortunately the "spouse factor" came into play and I was forced to tear down to a 90 gallon display at my store. Time heals all wounds and last summer I was "allowed" to purchase a 75 gallon set up from a member of my local club.

This tank has been the fire from which this Phoenix has arose. I'm back at full throttle and eager to get built back up to where I was. I've reclaimed the basement of our home and am currently filling up space with a small but growing Berghia farm. I've added an attached frag tank to my 75. It is tied into the main system via the sump and like the DT is lit by DIY Cree fixtures.

Since coming back full force I've made my hobby a career ambition. I write for 2 online reef news blogs and work with one of the leading manufacturers of filtration equipment on new product design. I am also working on the most complete, informative guide available to the new hobbyist.

I wish I had joined RC way back when but it's good to be here today. :)

Hello,

Hello,

I'm Bridgette from Alabama...just getting started in the hobby and so excited! I have always admired the ocean and the amazing creatures within. So happy to have a small piece in my home. I don't have a lot in my 56 gallon column tank right now, but what I do have seems stable & healthy...looking forward to learning & growing my tank! ;)

Hi! I am new to reefcentral (awesome, btw!). I have many years experience in freshwater. Always wanted salt water but fear and funds kept me from diving in. Now that I have kids, one of my twins already wants to be a "diver" when she grows up and is in love with all things marine (just like Mommy)! I set up a small salt tank for her a year ago and I did pretty well considering I was an extreme newbie on a budget! Of course, I still have not gotten her the coveted clown fish, so I am planning a much bigger tank this time! I would like to have it all (QT, fugium, multi tanks, etc), so we'll see how far I get! I really appreciate this site and the forums! Thanks all and happy tanking!

Hello, New to RC. Started up my dads old FOWLR 55 gal tank.
