If You Are New to Reef Central, Introduce Yourself Here!

Hi, my name is Georgi and I joined RC about 4 weeks ago when I setup my 10g AGA nano reef. I live in Connecticut (already joined CTARS) and just added my CUC to the cycled tank. I've had fresh water aquariums for more than 10 years and after a pause of a few years I decided to try the saltwater world. I'm planning to keep a pair of clowns in my tank and a skunk cleaner shrimp (already enjoying my tank ;) ). Still reading about corals.

It has been a great learning point so far and I will be around often :)

Hi, everybody!
My name is Ralli, my spouse is called Sasho. His account wasn't activated yet and he will write from mine, so don't be afraid if I speak once as woman, once as a man

We are brand new in this hobby, from Bulgaria. Regretfully here we don't have so much information about the Reef Keeping, but we try to learn. Thank's that here - in Bulgaria - are some enthusiastic people helping us and giving advises.
Our brand new tank is about 65 gallons with a sump of about 40 gallons and we have it already three weeks.

Before we join this community and start being (some kind of) active members we browsed this forum and you've helped us a lot. So, finally we are happy being part of everything here

Cheers!

Hello. I have just joined reef central as of today. However, I have seen relatives of mine using this site and have my own fish tank that has been an ongoing project for around 3 years.

Acutally I have a marine tank. At the moment I have a clownfish in it along with a brittle star and an emerald crab. It has gone through many phases and this is what it has gotten to for now.

Not new to RC, but returning after a bit of a hiatus from the internet side of the hobby. Looking forward to learning from all the great people here again!

Hi all!
My name is Josh, I'm from the booming metropolis of Spartanburg, SC.
I recently got talked into having a FOWLR tank by a friend, and can't seem to focus on anything else. This is my first anything having to do with fish since my goldfish when I was 10.

Current tank is just a small 37g. Eclipse with all the stock equipment. Only thing in the tank now is coral rubble substrate, 20lbs live rock, and 20lbs base rock. I don't plan on doing anything big, some damsels and a false percula. Maybe some random gobies at some point down the road.

My big question is how big of a CuC should I have for this setup?
Any help would be huge! Thanks guys. (apologies for any spelling/grammatical errors, I'm posting this from my phone while I'm at work)

hello all! My name is John. I am a beginner in the salt life (less than 1 year). i have had freshwater for last 5 years. i started with a 55 gallon fowlr. i have a 150 gal almost ready to fill with water and start cycle. this will become my only tank. i will run a wet dry sump filter (tide pool 2) w/ additional sump connected to house macro and mangroves. i have a sea clone 150 (i know its not very good) but it's has mods that make it work better. 2x 400w MH. the return pump i have is 500 gph i think, and the overflow i have no idea what the gph is. i look forward to learning by reading and not mistakes. thank you everyone in advanced. oh yeah and the new tank i want to be a reef tank.

As a suggestion:
5 turbo snails
5 hermit crabs
2 cleaner shrimp
1 brown brittle star
1 sand sifter star

Hi Guys-
I really appreciate all the help I've gotten here so far. I have a 46 bowfront now but I'm building a 90G that I will soon switch to, so I will be asking a lot of questions!!

suggest you start your own build thread for the 90 gal so you can keep all your information in one place that people will notice more readily then in long threads like this one
