Hello:
I am really new to this as we just bought our aquarium yesterday. So far we got the water in and the live rock and sand, filter and light. That's all so far! Tomorrow we get two hardy fish...
I am sure I will be back for more advice!

My name is Spencer and I just ordered a 150g tank (48x24x32). I had tropical tank about 20 years ago but i am excited to take on this new adventure. I have been trying to read as much as possible and plan on starting with live sand sm amount of live rock a few fish, and slowly build a mixed tank. I have recently purchased a 6 bulb 48" T5 Tek light. i intend on building a sump tank filter with a Marine land protein skimmer. Not sure how big my sump needs to be but I am hoping to get some advice in this forum.

look forward to meeting lots of people on here with the same interest and hopefully learn what i need to be successful.

My name is fish geek...I work for a place that sells fish and fish supplies.. I just recently decided to get up the nerve to start my own tank (125 gallon with 55lbs lr and 60 lbs substrate) and it just finished cycling. I have a KYE tang in QT waiting to see his new home in 3 weeks... Excited to get the party started...

Hello all, just getting back into the hobby after taking 4 years off. I am going to be putting together a 50g salt water tank or thats the plan any way. I cant start my build till I get some home repairs done, so I am currently researching products and and prices and trying to get an idea of what I am getting back into. Cant wait to slowly piece together my tank so I can join you all in this great hobby.

Hello to all,
I am in the process of starting a 14 gl Bio cube. I am learning the meaning of the word Patience!! I have browsed and read many forums here over the past 10 days :) I think my husband is now second guessing his encouragement with my 'new' hobby. Over the years
he has watched me keep a 55 high a 20 long and a 30 with Ciclids and Tropical fish. After last Octobers storm and we had no power for two weeks I lost all. I started the 20 and 30 but have taken the 20 down. If I do well with the Bio Cube I intend on using the 55 high and 20 for a larger set up. I am getting some of my supplies from BRS. Looking to find a local store that will be a good supplier. Going to join the local club too. :)
Thanks to all of the photos and great advice and topics. I am getting ready to watch
the Aipstasia explode .. !!! Tee hee hee... :)

Shawn Marie......

Hey there all, my name is Gary Hayden and I'm somewhat new to the hobby. I have a 60 gallon salt tank with live rock, live lack sand, 2 power heads, protien skimmer, and marineland led reef capable with integrated timer lighting. I am currently using a canister filter but am looking for a sump and chiller if you know anyone who has either laying around. I currently have 2 black banded Percs, blue tang, coral banded shrimp, arrow crab and a hermit crab.

P.S I can't figure out how to post my own threads and only know how to reply lol.
