hi Mike I am kind of sad you are planning to pull down 390. in the last year and a half of reading your thread you have helped me with building my stand . What are you planning on doing with the stand and tank ? Are you planning on selling the tank and stand ? When you start your new build off please send me a link .

I just returned back into the country I've been out country last 6 1/2 months
my wife and my friend Robert were taking care of my tank. When I was out country
I had some problems with the Neptune system DC 4 and DC 8 are nothing but problems I had to go back to my regular set up currently I am using a Neptune system for monitoring the pH and temperature in my calcium reactor. I have some new photos on my thread.
Thanks dude, I've enjoyed your build also. Where, out of the country? The tank is spoken for, but the stand will be put up for sale.

I am a licensed boat captain I do yacht deliveries all over . My last trip was from New York to Seattle, Washington: going through the Panama Canal . I do a lot of deliveries from Florida. I was hoping check out your system to see it in person. Instead of steeldeep my name is Norm.

Cool! PM me if you're ever going to be in the Tampa area.

Well, here's the end of the 390. All the rock, coral, fish are in a Rubbermaid 300 gallon stock tank with a new I-Tech cone skimmer. The last pic of the 390.

I'll start a build thread on the in wall 300 real soon.

first, i have followed your thread--and would like to say the purpose of our hobby is to help each other, learn from our mistakes--
your build and eventual breakdown makes little sense:
1. why did u not buy another glass cages tank
2. why would someone buy " the tank is spoken for" your tank and not buy the custom built stand
3. why would u go through 12 months plus of hard work, well thought out, lots of money and scrap the whole build??????
it makes no sense, i am a builder, architect by profession, you could have salvaged your original tank, if it was salvagable------
i would surmise, your glass cages tank failed, just as you were warned----you copped a "my problem , get off my thread attitude then" and you are reaping what u have sewn now---how does it feel to be a complete idiot--all that time, money, effort, etc. for what------a tupper ware tank--- hahahahahahhohohohohohoohohoohohohohoohohohoohohohohehehehhhehehehhehehehhehehehehhehehehehhahahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahah----you dumb a s s

Personal attacks are not, permitted??

Did you not read ???

"Since the back injury, I've had extreme difficulty doing what I had planned as regular maintenance on the tank. I run all of my top off water through kalk, so regular pump cleaning and OM 4 way cleaning is necessary, but very difficult to accomplish.
With an in wall, I will have access to 3 sides of the tank, which will have a moveable walkway built around it, so the top of the tank will be waist high. The overflow box will be on one end with the bulkheads coming out the side for easier access. There will be no closed loops. The Orca driven skimmer will go away and be replaced by an I-Tech cone skimmer that was delivered today. It will be skimming the 300 tub until the new tank is setup. Jeff, at JR Fabrications, the dude that built my current stand, is building the stand for the 300. It will be here in a couple of weeks. I hope to have the tank before Christmas. I will still use a Dart for return pump, and my same lighting setup will hang from the ceiling after I shorten it to fit the 72" tank. I'll buy some Tunzes for flow, and we'll see what happens. I'll start a new build thread later in the week to post pics of the teardown and the start of the 300. "

with out his skills you wouldnt be able to keep that cocky head of yours cool in the summer or warm in the winter. hey i even give credit to the Burger King guys, cuz when you have a hard day at work and its late you can just go and grab BK. granted they dont always get it right but just remember every one that has a job, has it for a reason!

sorry for the mean post, i just had to get it off my chest.
wish you luck on the inwall build that will make it easyer to take care off for a long time. i know i would spend more money on something i love to make it easyer to enjoy and take care of

He says he has 25 years of hobby experience, I'm surprised the people around him have let him live that long.

Thanks customcolor. Mentally challanged folks like that are just part of life.
yea i know but you gota feel sorry for gators parents though

gator I guess you haven't been really reading his postings
or you would know Mike messed up his back almost a year ago. My tank is almost a debacle to his . when I started to build mine I asked Mike what he would do different. His reply he would've made it a couple inches shorter. Here's a picture of me maintain my tank I have good back and it is difficult for me to maintain . To gain access.

I think you should take up Mike's offer for you to inspect his tank to realize you are totally wrong !!!! I would love to say some more but due to reef Central's rules and regulations I will not say anymore but you know what I mean!!!!!!!!!!

he started with a glass cage tank--a piece of crap--i warned him of the possibilities of desaster

Sounds like you have been around on RC and have even posted maybe... Why are you posting under a new name ??

I have been watching and learning from this thread for some time. Gator45 your responses are way out of line. I respect your right to post your opinions, but the language used is abusive and offensive. You could leave out the name calling and haha's. Grow up! We're all adults here and can draw our on conclusions. I hope the mods will step in and stop this useless spam.
