glass cages

glass cages

could not keep myself from making a response--especially since you made a comment to the vet guy about crying or what ever--you still don 't get it----glass cages makes a crappy product---look at their design compared to a reputable mfger----your tank was fabricated exactly like mine--mine failed---the front to back glass conecting straps could not handle the continuous pressures of a 31" tank......(period)----you are comitted, i know, but at least consider providing additional front to back supports--maybe, s.s. angles with front to back s.s. straps at each existing glass supports---think about it, and look at how other tanks are fabricated---my new acrylic tank of similar size has a full 3/4" top with minimal openings??? my new tank was engineered from a very reputable mfg'er---glass cages are shop built by a bunch of mexicans with caulking guns---i have seen their operation, after it was too late--------take all of the above for what its worth, not meant to offend or make you feel bad----just not wanting to see you wake up to the same situation i was faced with----as to the other guy who criticised the incorrect thread post--T.S. glass cages

glass cages

why could that be----mabe, they make a very inferior product---very reasonably priced--for sure--but, as i have said---it is a mickey mouse operation---real tanks are engineered according to the wanted dimensions -- length, width, height---glass cages goes by the old school method--"this should work"----too many people out there that have learned, the hard way, otherwise----glass cages may make an ok smaller tank????? but i would and cannot recomend them for a large tank , especially deep, that requires added structural supports and engineering that is out of the realm of glass cages expertise

bluegrass vets
being human we are prone to not admit our bad mistakes--i only wish someone had alerted me to what was to be a huge mistake--like you, i think, the purpose of this continual dialogue on lambs tank is not to make him feel bad or worry him, but to alert him to potential problems--i truly believe he can take some preventive measures to asure he can have a stable set-up and therefore a good nights sleep
mike, if you are reading any of this, please consider

PreacherMan607, no problems with the foam. Mine is pond foam from DrsFostersandSmith.com.

As for gator45, please get your *** out of my thread and go cry somewhere else. I read lots of "warnings" prior to my purchase. If it fails, it's my problem.

gator45, obviously you were talking to me when you said "as to the other guy who criticised the incorrect thread post--T.S.". All I will say is grow up and take it to the Vendor Experience forum. No one here wants to hear it.

mflamb- awesome looking tank, great thread, took me forever to go through it. You obviously know what you're doing and as a new reefer it is quite overwhelming for me to see all the different things you're incorporating. But very interesting at the same time to say the least. Great Stuff! Any FTS coming soon? I'm tagging along.

But, I don't see why gator and bluegrass are catching flame for stating their opinions and experiences. Pretty lame how people catch offense to others opinions and/or experiences.

toolguy- grow up? give me a break, gator handled himself pretty well... mflamb on the other hand: "please get your *** out of my thread and go cry somewhere else" .. btw people looking into buying glasscage aquariums may be interested in what gator and bluegrass have to say.
