Hey Lagger! Long time no see! I would love to seperate it into two islands but I'm afraid I can't because of the length limitation (tank is only 3 ft long). I think I bought way too much rock so I will probably use about 3/4 of it and make some sort of upside down U shaped island.
 
Well here are the rocks v 2.0. Not sure if I am going to keep it like this. Let me know if you guys like it.

My tank has been real cloudy for the past 2 days. I'm assuming it's a bacteria bloom. I don't think I've ever had a bacteria bloom while cycling. I have carbon on it now and just changed out 40g of water. Ammonia levels are now at 0.

I wanted it to look like a coral atoll but I may change it later. I do have some bad news to report. While I was rearranging the rock with my arms in the water, I broke out in hives. It looks like I am now allergic to salt water.:(
 
probably something in the rock or some bacteria irritating your arms. I just put rubbing alcohol in my hands and arms after washing. Let air dry.
 
If it's a true allergic reaction and it happens again, try taking the zyrtec 30 min before you service your tank.
 
Good thinking Terry. I've been slowly becoming allergic to lots of stuff in my house and outside. Not sure what's wrong with me.:(
 
Sang, that either means you are getting old or you're officially allergic to keeping up a reef tank :(

I like the horseshoe, adds nice depth. But knowing the amount of corals you'll have in that thing, you'll prob need 2, lulz.....And good spot on the tank--> Natural sunshine ftw :thumbsup:
 
It looks like the tank is cycled! 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, don't care about nitrate! Mark, expect a visit to your house sometime within the next couple weeks!:)
