Really depends where you like to maintain your #s.

I prefer 425 ppm calc and 3.5 meq/l of alk. RC mixes we'll beyond that which just causes a swing in my tank.

Yeah my tank is 220 40 gal sump 50 gal fuge I do weekly 40 gal wc At 1.026 don't notice much of a swing in my tank parameters

Thanks for the pics guys I was gonna switch to tropic marine but it's 2 times the price so hesitant u know how it it
With a big tank just supplies costing me $100 or so a month plus electric then whatever coral or fish so it adds up quickly

I been using IO on and off for a few years now but I never had my levels close those #s. More like 380 Cal, 8 Alk 1100 MG.

I usually just test the alk but its usually between 8 and 9 for me as well.

I've used IO for 6-7 years with good success with SPS.

Make sure the rest of your filtration is working well (skimmer, etc). I also top-off with kalkwasser.
Last time I moved I had one acro and one monti that grew from frags and were too big to fit into a 5g bucket...
