Interesting fireworm pics

These are some pictures that I took using a scanning electron microscope. Its a microscope that uses electrons to form a picture rather than light. It allows a much higher magnification since the beam of electrons is so small. I just thought they were interesting.

Wow that's super neat. Who needs macro lenses with electron microscopes!

Can those things do color?

No, they can't do color (sad). I will take a pic of the machine sometime this week and post it. I am also going to take some pics of limpets and these weird starfish things I found. I will post them as soon as I can. I am trying to think of other things to take pics of too. I will post anything new.

I coulda sworn it was cause of the wavelength of the electrons vs the wavelength of the light, not particle size cause I think light wins on quanta "particle" size!
