Interzoo 2008- NEW!

Looks like some great new products on their way. :) One of the new skimmers and nano-wave box would be perfect for the summer/fall project I'm planning.

ROGER,
Will the new 7096 controller have the same features as the Multicontroller (7095.000)? The 7096 look very basic in the picture or am i comparing apples and oranges?

Also When the new Streams are released will there be packages like the Turbelle® stream Kit TS24 (TS24). Multicontroller and 2 6101 or 6201?

great post Roger !!:) Very exciting stuff coming out from Tunze for sure. Would'nt you know it...I get my 6201's tomorrow and now I hear of this thread yesterday from Tbone about the stream2's

Take Care,

Chad

free advertising for Tunze, courtesy of T-Bone. still looking for some tunze sponsorship...am i any closer with my salt order? :p

The 7096 can do much more than the 7095 but it does nothing without a computer, you need to be able to connect it by USB to a computer to program it. That is why it is so much more basic looking, it has no knobs or lights, everything is shown on a display on your computer. It saves the program and can be run without the computer once you have it programmed.

It is planned, I need the Windows version to be finished first and then I can get someone to develop a Mac version.

The magnet holder will be included but the clamp can be attached to the older rail hardware as well. I just got a call this morning and the larger magnet holder will actually work for 1.25" glass with ease, they just finished a test of a new design.

awesome news, the best news I've had in a while :)

Looks like I'll have a firesale on 4- 6200's this fall ;)

I love the look and sound of the new items but kinda feel a little stuffed as I just got a TS24 Kit. I was thinking of upgrading the multicontroller to something a bit more flexible like a profilux or AC3 and Aquasurf but this new Tunze one looks just the job. Only thing is its just rendered my 7095 obsolete and im going to get squat for it second hand. Guess its always a risk but still - boo hoo hoo.

The 7095 is not obsolete, both will continue to be sold, not everyone will want to mess with computer programming a controller. We made the 7096 because we realize some people want that option and such a controller can be made much cheaper because it doesn't need any display or knobs or switches.

Roger - regarding the 7096, since it can be programmed by computer, will it be able to do more functions than the 7095?

Yes, you can program each pump instead of just two channels- it has 4 true channels. It can also replace the wavebox controller and you can program how long the foodtimer interval is. It also has a new mode that we still haven't named but I am not really able to discuss it yet, it will be a new breakthrough in wave simulation.

Roger, if you used the 7096 to control the wavebox, how do you make the tuning adjustments to alter the wave frequency? Do you adjust it while still connected to the computer, then disconnect it for stand alone operation?

jtarmitage- exactly, that is why this isn't for everyone, ideally you have a laptop so you can be near the tank and fiddle with it, it will include a 16ft USB cable.

We have a working version of Windows software and once that is tweaked to where it needs to be we will have it developed for Mac as well.

Sounds great. No accidentally bumping the dial.:D

BTW, thank you Roger for continuing to take the time to keep us all informed and answer the load of questions you get. Absolutely phenominal customer service!

I know it is premature, but any idea how long it will take to get a mac version of the software?

LOVE the new products. Love them:love1:
